INCREASED SWEATING – TREATMENTS

Your problems with increased sweating start when your sweat glands react too strongly to emotional factors or high temperatures. In these situations specialized antiperspirants or “sweat blockers” come in handy, being able to solve the problem for couple of days. However if your body continues to sweat heavily despite using advanced blockers, it may indicate that you suffer from idiopathic hyperhidrosis. This kind of ailment results from excessive work of your sweat glands and a medical consultation is necessary.

BOTOX

  • the effect is visible after a few – several days and it lasts for several months; it may persist for even up to one year (armpits), but in the end it must be repeated

Information about treatment

Presently botox is the most recommended and widely used cosmetic procedure. According to statistics 80% of people react well to this kind of treatment. To prevent the excessive excretion of sweat the skin is injected with a small dose of type A botulinum toxin (obtained from Clostridium botulinum bacteria) that blocks the work of this kind of nerves that supply exocrine glands. This blockade lasts for the period of 6 to 12 months, after which new nerve endings are formed, replacing previously blocked ones. This means that the results of the treatment persist for several months but eventually they cease to have an effect.
