Mesotherapy is one of the most efficient and most popular treatments in aesthetic medicine.

This procedure involves applying healing substances into the skin through micro-punctures. As a result they penetrate deep into the skin – into the dermis or into the subcutaneous layer – at a depth of approximately 0,4 to 4 millimeters.

This procedure can be performed either by:

  • a needle and a syringe – it allows applying higher amounts of preparation to particularly demanding areas of the body i.e. to the areas of deep winkles (resulting in the creation of so-called “deposits”)
    or by
  • a device (medical pistol) which is equipped with a special automated working mode that ensures an even administration of preparation throughout the whole batch of skin.

  • autoimmune diseases (self-aggression) – medical disorders involving the body being attacked by its own immune system which produces antibodies against its own, healthy tissues. We count among them: the Graves’ disease and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis; multiple sclerosis, muscle stiffness (hypertonia, myasthenia gravis), rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, Sjogren’s syndrome, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibrositis et cetera

A few days before this treatment it is recommended to rub the skin with a preparation containing vitamin K. It seals the endothelium of blood vessels, it prevents internal bleedings and it has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. You should also withhold from using aspirin two weeks before this procedure.

Depending on the part of the body being treated – the skin might be slightly reddened and swollen to a few hours after the procedure. Also little lumps might appear (similar to mosquito bites) in the face, neck and neckline regions, where the preparation has been administered. They should disappear after a couple of hours but in some cases they may linger for several more days.

The formation of bruises and blotches is possible in the areas of injections which can linger for several more days.

A repetition of this procedure at regular intervals is required to obtain maximum results. During the series of treatments it is recommended to limit sunbathing and visits to the solarium for a minimum period of 7 days after the procedure. Additionally for the minimum period of 24 hours after the treatment it is not recommended to use sauna, steam room; warm baths, Jacuzzi or swimming pool.
